Newcastle Rapid Plumbing is a local enquiry and quoting service for plumbing across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and Maitland, including Hamilton, Merewether, Mayfield, New Lambton and Wallsend. It covers emergency plumbing, blocked drains, hot water, burst and leaking pipes, and gas fitting. The site is run by Yes Right Pty Ltd (ABN 91 664 546 061).
How it works.
You call or use the quote form and tell us what is happening and where. The job goes to a local plumbing business that can price it. That business quotes you directly and is responsible for its own licence, insurance and workmanship. We don't charge you for the enquiry. Businesses we refer work to may pay us a referral fee.
What to check before plumbing work starts.
- The licence. Plumbing, drainage and gas fitting in NSW need a current NSW Fair Trading licence. Ask for the licence number and check it on the NSW Fair Trading register before work starts.
- Insurance. Ask for a copy of the business's public liability insurance certificate.
- A written quote. It should say what is included, whether GST is in the price, and any after-hours premium.
- Notice of Work and Certificate of Compliance. For notifiable work, the licensed plumber lodges a Notice of Work with NSW Fair Trading before starting and gives you a Certificate of Compliance after finishing. Gas work is done to AS/NZS 5601, and from 1 March 2026 gasfitters lodge gas certificates through the BCNSW eCert system.
- Hunter Water. Work near a Hunter Water main may need their build-over approval before it starts.
